This notice explains how BareVue handles information throughbarevue.app, including the launch waitlist. It does not yet describe the BareVue mobile app, which is still in development. This notice will be updated before the app is publicly released to explain the app's data practices.

Information we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

  • Your email address.
  • The date and time of the signup and any later resubmission.
  • The consent wording and version shown when you joined.
  • The page where the signup was submitted and your browser locale, when available.
  • Whether the signup passed Cloudflare Turnstile verification.
  • A salted cryptographic hash derived from the request's IP address, used to detect repeated submissions and prevent abuse. BareVue does not store the raw IP address in the waitlist database.

If you contact BareVue by email, we receive the email address, message, and any other information you choose to include so we can respond.

The website does not currently use advertising or analytics trackers, and it does not collect your food logs, health information, or future BareVue app account data.

How we use information

BareVue uses this information to:

  • Maintain the launch waitlist.
  • Send the launch announcement you requested.
  • Respond when you contact us.
  • Protect the waitlist and website from spam, fraud, and abuse.
  • Operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website and waitlist service.

Where applicable, the launch email is sent on the basis of your consent. Security and abuse-prevention processing is based on BareVue's legitimate interest in operating a reliable waitlist. You can withdraw from the waitlist at any time by contacting us.

Service providers

BareVue uses Cloudflare to deliver and protect the website, verify waitlist submissions with Turnstile, run the waitlist service, and store waitlist records in Cloudflare D1. Cloudflare may process request, browser, device, and network information as needed to provide those services. SeeCloudflare's privacy policy.

BareVue self-hosts the website's typefaces. Loading the site's fonts does not send a request to Google Fonts or another font provider.

When BareVue is ready to send the launch announcement, an email delivery provider may process the waitlist email addresses solely to deliver that message. This notice will identify that provider before the launch email is sent.

BareVue does not sell or rent waitlist information, and does not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be disclosed if required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the security and legal rights of BareVue or others.

Retention and deletion

Waitlist records are kept until the launch announcement has been sent and for no more than 90 days afterward, unless you ask for deletion sooner or a longer period is required by law. The associated salted IP hash is deleted with the waitlist record. Support messages are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request and maintain appropriate business records.

To leave the waitlist or request access, correction, or deletion, email support@barevue.app. BareVue may need to confirm that the request concerns your email address before acting on it.

Security

BareVue uses HTTPS, access controls, Turnstile verification, and salted IP hashing to protect the waitlist. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but BareVue limits the information collected and uses it only for the purposes described here.

International processing

BareVue is based in the United States. Cloudflare and other service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy protections may differ from those in your country.

Children

The waitlist is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. BareVue does not knowingly collect waitlist information from children under 13. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us so it can be removed.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated as the website, waitlist, or service providers change. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page. The policy describing the mobile app will be added before the app launches.
