Duo and Family

Duo and Family are premium plans for tracking nutrition for the people you care about. Duo supports two profiles of any age. Family supports six: two profiles of any age, plus four for members under 18.

Recommendations from real health authorities, by age and sex

Every nutrient recommendation in the app is specific to the age and sex of the profile. Most apps only support US standards, many of which haven't changed since the 1990s or early 2000s. BareVue currently supports recommendations from the USA/Canada, Australia/New Zealand, Europe, the Nordic countries, Japan, and Korea, and you can see the differences in app, along with the year each was last reviewed.

Log for multiple profiles at once

Search a food, adjust portions for each profile, then add them all at once. No need to log the same thing multiple times. For meals you repeat, you can reuse a saved family meal or copy a previous day across everyone.

Common questions

Does everyone need their own account?

No. One account holds the whole household, with a profile for each person.

Can I make a different account for each profile instead?

Not really. BareVue is designed so your data lives on your device by default and only syncs to the cloud on premium plans. Signing into a different account wipes the previous account's data from the phone to make room, and deleting the app removes local data entirely. Profiles under one account are the intended way to track multiple people.

What about pregnancy?

Pregnancy changes nutritional needs enough that it gets its own page: pregnancy nutrition, adjusted by trimester.
